Ainos Nestic Module
More parts from every sheet, less scrap.
Ainos Nestic places parts on sheets efficiently for laser and plasma cutting, prepares the cutting path and NC program, and returns usable remnants to stock. It runs on the same data model as work orders, inventory and costing, so the cutting plan moves from order to cutting without breaks.
Sheet nesting, NC output and remnant management for laser and plasma cutting.
Overview
What it does
Laying parts out on sheets by hand means scrap, lost time and costs based on guesswork. Ainos Nestic combines orders of the same material and thickness, places parts by their true shapes and shows the sheet, time and cost impact of every cutting plan before the first cut.
Scope
Sub-categories of Ainos Nestic
Each sub-category manages a part of this process — all on the same data.
Automatic Nesting
Place DXF parts on the sheet by their true shapes; combine orders of the same material and thickness into one plan and maximize sheet utilization.
Cutting Technology & Path
Apply lead-ins/lead-outs, pierce points and kerf compensation by material and thickness for laser and plasma; set the cut sequence.
NC Output & Time-Cost
Generate the NC program with a machine-specific post-processor; calculate each plan’s cutting time and cost from cut length, pierce count and rapid moves before cutting.
Sheet & Remnant Management
Reserve planned sheets from inventory, return usable remnants to stock with their dimensions after cutting, and use remnants first in the next plans.
Roles
Who is it for?
The same data, a different view for each role.
Production Planner / Engineer
Prepare cutting plans and balance sheet utilization against due dates.
Cutting Operator
Receive the ready NC program and cut sequence; report completed cuts from the shop floor.
Costing / Planning
See each cutting plan’s estimated time and sheet cost before cutting; base costing on data.
Connection
How an order becomes a cutting plan
Nesting is not a step cut off from the ERP. A part coming from an order turns into a layout, a cut and a stock movement on the same data.
Work Order
Parts and quantities arrive.
Nesting
Placed on the sheet.
Cutting
NC program is prepared for the machine.
Stock & Cost
Sheet consumed, remnant returned.

Ainos Nestic with Sonia AI
Describe it, Sonia prepares it.
Ask your cutting questions in natural language; Sonia analyzes plans and inventory, prepares the cutting plan or summary and brings it for your approval — the final decision is always yours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which cutting methods does it support?
Laser and plasma cutting. Part spacing, lead-ins/lead-outs, piercing and kerf values are defined separately for each method by material and thickness.
How do I bring in my CAD files?
Parts are imported in DXF format; quantity, material and thickness come from the work order, so the same part is not redrawn.
What happens to remnants?
Usable remnants are recorded in stock with their dimensions and used first in later plans; the unusable part is reported as scrap.
Does it work with my cutting machine?
The NC program is generated with a machine-specific post-processor. Compatibility with your machine model and controller is verified together during setup.
